Mobilisation Narrative

Dubai World Cup week at Meydan Racecourse concentrates broadcast compounds, hospitality villages, production compounds, and perimeter works into a short, unforgiving programme. FM Rental supplied super-silent diesel generators with distribution boards and cabling sized for entertainment loads, LED lighting towers for compound and logistics yards, and portable cabins for production and stewarding teams that needed weather-controlled workspace away from the grandstand MEP.

Load schedules were agreed with the event electrical lead before first fire-up so critical circuits for broadcast, catering, and guest experience sat on N+1 capacity. Fuel deliveries and spill containment followed the venue HSE pack; our field engineers attended overnight peaks when hospitality and media compounds ramped together.

Noise limits near hospitality and hotel interfaces made acoustic canopy sets non-negotiable — we staged machines and exhaust routing outside guest sightlines while keeping cable routes clear of emergency access. Off-hire was sequenced after the final race card and demobilisation windows so the venue could reopen without leftover plant blocking service roads.
