Programme Summary
Temporary power, lighting, and compound support for Formula 1 race week at Yas Marina Circuit during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Mobilisation Narrative
Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix week at Yas Marina Circuit concentrates paddock, hospitality islands, media compounds, and fan zones into a tightly timed build–race–strike programme. FM Rental supplied super-silent diesel generators with distribution boards and cabling for entertainment and broadcast loads, LED lighting towers for logistics yards and overnight build areas, and portable cabins for production, security, and stewarding teams working outside permanent venue MEP.
Capacity planning with the event electrical lead prioritised N+1 cover on critical circuits so hospitality, broadcast, and guest experience did not share a single-point failure. Fuel logistics and spill containment followed Yas Island HSE requirements; field engineers stayed on call through twilight and night sessions when loads peaked across multiple compounds at once.
Machine placement respected guest sightlines, hotel interfaces, and emergency access routes around the marina and hotel bridge. Acoustic canopy sets limited noise near hospitality and residential edges. Demobilisation tracked the post-race strike window so service roads and paddock approaches cleared on schedule for venue handover.
