Programme Summary
Temporary power, lighting, and compound support for pavilion, precinct, and event operations across Expo 2020 Dubai.
Mobilisation Narrative
Expo 2020 Dubai concentrated pavilions, plazas, media compounds, and overnight build windows into a mega-event footprint with strict site access and guest-flow rules. FM Rental supplied super-silent diesel generators with distribution boards and cabling for pavilion and entertainment loads, LED lighting towers for logistics yards and overnight works, and portable cabins for operations, security, and stewarding teams away from permanent district MEP.
Load schedules with the event electrical lead prioritised N+1 cover on critical circuits for shows, hospitality, and guest experience. Fuel deliveries and spill containment followed organiser HSE packs; field engineers covered early start-ups when outdoor display power came live ahead of gates opening.
Plant was staged clear of emergency routes, tram and metro interfaces, and pavilion sightlines. Acoustic canopy sets kept noise acceptable near hospitality and family zones. Off-hire followed the post-Expo strike and legacy handover windows so service roads cleared on the organiser’s demobilisation plan.
