Programme Summary
Temporary power, access lifts, and site support for landmark museum shell, façade, and fit-out works at Museum of the Future, Dubai.
Mobilisation Narrative
Museum of the Future’s torus form, calligraphic façade, and exhibition fit-out on Sheikh Zayed Road demand hire plant that can support complex structural and interiors packages without damaging finishes or blocking precinct logistics. FM Rental supplied diesel generators with distribution boards and cabling for temporary construction power, boom and scissor lifts for façade, plant-room, and high-level access around the envelope, and lighting for overnight works when daytime visitor and commissioning windows constrained programme.
Machine placement and cable routes were agreed with the package electrical lead so emergency egress, plaza interfaces, and metro-adjacent corridors stayed clear as commissioning approached. Fuel containment and spill response followed contractor and precinct HSE packs; field engineers attended first energisation of temporary boards serving successive gallery and back-of-house zones.
When façade and exhibition packages overlapped, hire amendments kept inducted serial numbers on site so access and power records stayed continuous for the main contractor’s QA file. Off-hire tracked each zone handover so plant cleared before public opening.
